“Design is a solution to a problem. Art is a question to a problem.” –John Maeda, President of Rhode Island School of Design

My creative journey began with a foundation in graphic design. I am inspired using visual design to create and organize elements while considering the holistic impact, embracing Gestalt Principles and applying them to develop aesthetic design and shape users’ emotions as you lead them through various stages, from a landing page to a call to action.

There are countless ways a graphic designer can solve business problems or evoke inspiration. In Graphic Design, the creative possibilities are endless when it comes to finding solutions or igniting that spark of inspiration.

Art and illustration is important, but I feel what’s more essential is that problem-solving takes the spotlight as one of the key soft skills in graphic design.

My expertise covers developing and implementing brand guidelines, digital design, UX/UI website design, and communication and marketing strategies.

My Skills

Graphic Design & Brand Design

Whether I’m working as a Graphic Designer, Visual Designer, or in website design my core is rooted in creativity and thinking beyond the conventional, bringing forth innovation, originality, and fresh perspectives.

A brand goes way beyond just a name, logo, fonts, and colors – it’s the entire experience and story your business tells that shapes how it showcases themselves to customers. Whether the brand is well established, just beginning, or needing a refresh-I find your point of view and brand archetype and reflect deeply on your business objectives to see limitless possibilities in deciphering brand values, positioning, voice, and identity.

Communications Content

Content marketing offers a unique layer of service. Designs exists to support and deliver content. Writing effective copy and understanding the purpose that it serves, I find that it ultimately delivers more creative and thoughtful materials.

It’s fun to flex a different part of my brain, and it’s more convenient for clients to have one person handle both copy and design. More importantly, it helps to understand the relationship between copy and design as they are a unified message.

WordPress Development

Your page should tell a story—a story that is designed to give people just enough information to draw them in to learn more. One great way is to craft engaging, high-quality content that may answer a question or provide a solution to a specific problem. I mainly use Adobe Illustrator, XD, and Photoshop. But, there are many others programs and plugins to take advantage, and that’s where I dive deep into exploring and learning what’s best for the client.
