THE PRODUCT:

This app was created as part of a submission for Futures Without Violence, a nonprofit dedicated to health and social justice. The challenge invited applicants to design an app that could reach new audiences and help shift harmful social norms.

Inspired by one of the organization’s core beliefs that early investment in prevention for children, youth, and teens fosters healthy relationships, the concept centers on emotional intelligence as a foundation for positive connections.

The Emotional Intelligence app guides users through key areas like self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills. Through interactive worksheets, videos, and reading materials, users can set personal goals and track their growth in emotional development.

Designed for students, educators, and anyone looking to better understand the power of emotions, the app highlights how emotional literacy is key to empathy, communication, and stronger relationships.

The final submission included an interactive high-fidelity app demo, a brand style guide, and a comprehensive case study featuring user personas, journey maps, usability testing, and a responsive website prototype

Enter emotional intelligence – the skill of using your thoughts and feelings to navigate emotions. It’s about aligning your emotions with the situation and understanding how to handle others’ emotions too. Both empathy and emotional intelligence play a crucial role in connecting with people. While they’re distinct, they go hand in hand. This app delves into emotional intelligence, offers techniques to gain more insights into yourself and others. It’s a personalized journey of self-discovery and understanding.

Building a brand that seamlessly spans both print and digital platforms includes elements, from the logo’s intricate design to the color palette’s harmonious blend. They should not only captivate in print but also translate seamlessly to the digital realm. In the digital space, user interfaces should mirror the sophistication found in printed materials, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand experience. Fonts play a dual role, commanding attention on a tangible page and ensuring readability on various screens.  Where the tactile meets the virtual, creating a brand that resonates across mediums and leaves an indelible impression on audiences both in print and the digital landscape. It’s a journey of visual storytelling that embraces the best of both realms, ensuring a brand’s charisma shines through whether on paper or pixels.
